About IIDI

International Interfaith Dialogue India (IIDI) is a non-profit voluntary organization established in 2009 at Kochi, to promote religious harmony and peace by positive interfaith dialogue. The objective is to be attained by highlighting and activating the moral and social values which are shared by all religions.

Dialogical approach is the only easy and effective way to remove bias and mistrust which will help to build bridges between the followers of different religious traditions. Religious and spiritual traditions shape the lives of billions in wise and wonderful ways. They gather people in communities of shared beliefs and practices. Diverse communities working in harmony for the common good, is the only hope for the world to get transformed positively. However, too often, religion has been abused as an instrument for division and injustice, betraying the very ideals and teachings that lie at the heart of each of the world's great religious traditions.

We seek to promote inter-religious harmony, rather than monolithic unity of all religions. We firmly believe that inter-religious harmony is an attainable and highly desirable goal. Such an approach respects, and is enriched by, the particularities of each tradition. We believe that various religions have a shared commitment to ethical principles. This shared commitment has opened the way for a new era of cooperative action among the world's religious and spiritual communities as well as civil and political societies.
